He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Smith and Lydia Smith (Gerbitz); his wife Geraldine Grabarski; his daughter Ramona Volbrecht; his son-in-law Larry Volbrecht; and his siblings, Donald, John Smith (Carol) and Lona Drew.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Smith (Mary) and Teressa Smith; his grandchildren, Heidi Robinson (Steve) and Shannon Smith (Margaret); his great grandchildren, Andrew Smith, Ashley Driscoll (Noah), Elizabeth Lesniak (Jeremy) and Connor Robinson; his great great grandchildren, Wesley Lesniak and Sawyer Lesniak; his brother-in-law Darold Drew; and his cousin Dorothy Wohlfert.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (330 E Vallette St., Oxford, WI 53952). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the two organizations near and dear to Durwin's heart: St John's Lutheran Church, Oxford, WI, and the Westfield VFW Post 8718.
