He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Hoffer and Amanda Hoffer (Gieb); his siblings, Clyde, Ronald and Marianne Pocklington; and his brothers-in-law, Francis Berens, Chuck Verhoven, Roy Chesak and Jerry Mortensen.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Mortensen; his children, Chad Hoffer (Rhonda), Paul Hoffer (Brenda), Colleen Schmidt (Fred) and Tricia Nelson (Tom); his grandchildren, Jori, Morgan, Sarrianna, Annabella, Antony, Deana (Travis), Ryan, Drew and Josh; his siblings, Pat Berens, Marilyn Chesak and Sharon Verhoven; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Mortensen, Clair, Sue Mortensen and Leila Taber. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (712 Market St, Marathon City, WI 54448). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family and will be directed to St. Mary's Catholic School in Marathon in honor of Terry.
