He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jane; and his siblings, Bernard, James, Jeanette, Delores and Maryann.
He is survived by: his children, John Hauerwas (Salome) and Jacqueline Felden (Robert); his grandchildren, Nicole Hauerwas (Alex Robinson), Christopher Hauerwas (Jessica), Erin Smigielski (Kevin), Bernadine Hauerwas (Joe Juergens) and Benjamin Felden (Tonee Lopez); his great grandchildren, Orson Borel, Jane Hauerwas, Clark Hauerwas and Louise Hauerwas; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Tadych, Rita Tadych and David Sommers. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Augustine of Hippo (2530 S Howell Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53207). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
